About the Journal

INES Scientific Journal (ISJ) is a scholarly and peer-reviewed journal that publishes
scientific articles from different disciplines, which led us to call it a multidisciplinary journal. This is an official publication of the Institute of Applied Sciences-INES Ruhengeri that assesses the quality of scientific articles written by experts in a particular field or discipline, with the purpose of advancing the ongoing body of work within their discipline.

The articles submitted to ISJ might present original research data and findings or take a position on a key question within the field. They can be difficult to read because their intended audience is other experts and academics, but they are the capstone of authoritative information. ISJ ensures that submitted articles are peer-reviewed and undergo a process in which other scholars in the author's field or discipline critically assess a draft before it is considered for publication. The actual evaluations are similar to editing notes, in which the author receives detailed, constructive feedback from peer experts and improves the work based on the comments and observations provided. Some scholarly journals publish articles with expert comments, but ISJ will not make these reviews publicly available; only authors will access them through the journal submission system.

ISJ publishes 4 issues per year, meaning that each volume is published quarterly.
ISJ is produced to consolidate, communicate, and explain the results of recent research conducted in the fields on which the journal is based. It forwards and accelerates the dissemination of legitimate knowledge through the publication of high-quality research papers and articles. The scholarly articles in ISJ present systematic, thorough findings from studies on a single topic. ISJ includes review articles that offer a robust summary of the current findings and knowledge on a topic. Articles from ISJ are considered credible sources of knowledge as they are written by scholars and are peer-reviewed.

ISJ will offer opportunities for authors in academic journals, including references and citations, which help authors be recognized as experts in the field at the regional or international levels. If a person is on a block for any reason, they cannot publish their work in the journal. To achieve its publishing goals, ISJ has an editor who first screens submissions with the editorial board members. If it meets basic criteria, the editor forwards it to experts in the field for peer review. These reviewers meticulously assess the research methods, results, and conclusions. They scrutinize for originality, accuracy, and significance. In ISJ, reviewers offer detailed feedback to the editor. They might suggest accepting the article, propose revisions, or reject it. The editor weighs these opinions and makes a final decision. This process can last weeks or months, depending on the journal and subject area, and may depend on the availability of reviewers and authors, the authors' responses to comments, and ISJ publishing schedules.

Peer review is the gold standard for validating scientific research. It upholds the integrity of academic literature. Authors often revise their work based on reviewer comments. This iterative process enhances the quality of published research. It aids in error detection, argument clarification, and conclusion strengthening. Although not flawless, the peer-review system is vital to maintaining high standards in scholarly publishing. ISJ will make its content open access, so readers can access published articles free of charge, and printed material will be available upon request from the authors.
